Mailboxes

Each mailbox has an email address on one of your managed domains and belongs to a person or team in your account.

Creating a mailbox

Choose the domain, the address before the @, and the person who will use it. Message Science creates the mailbox, connects it to the authenticated domain, and verifies that it can send and receive mail before it is ready.

Connecting to a mailbox

Mailboxes use encrypted IMAP and SMTP connections. Your account provides the server settings, ports, username, and password needed by a compatible email client or business tool.

Treat mailbox passwords as sensitive. Give credentials only to the person or approved service that needs them, and remove access when it is no longer required.

Managing mailboxes

From your account you can see which mailboxes are active, how much of their sending allowance has been used, and which domain and person each mailbox belongs to.
